You fools don't even know who wrote this song and made it famous enough for the "White" boys to sing and capitalize on it. Try finding a recording by Willie Dixon if you really want to feel cool.
OK, I know there was a lot of, um, "borrowing" in the blues, but how the hell ZZ Top didn't get sued to give Bo Diddley a writing credit on 'Sharp Dressed Man' I do not know.
"Diddy Wah Diddy" is off of the first Chess/Checker LP, "Bo Diddley--which was itself a collection of his popular singles up to that point. It was released in 1958--"Go Bo Diddley" was released in July of 1959. (My parents had that LP--I definitely remembered that "Diddy Wah Diddy" wasn't on it.)
