I wanted to hear this song, but couldn't remember the title. So i entered the keywords "Blue Cult Ladies Fish Gentlemen". Worked like a charm.

Just realised this is the same song as the "Blue öyster cult" from the Imaginos album but with different instrumental

This one never fails to bring a smile to my face. "Secret Treaties" is a PERFECT album.

I still remember the ad tagline for this album when it was released; "Aggression unchallenged is aggression unleashed."

"Secret Treaties" as an album is a complete, cohesive entity that rewards the listener with repeated doses. "Subhuman" as a single song stands up as a stellar achievment, but listening to it in chronological order following the utterly eerie opener "Career of Evil" enhances the sonic & contextual impact. Based on the Fantasy/Sci-Fi poem that gave the Band their name, "Subhuman" simultaneously: transfixs/disturbs/entertains/expands any imagination that is open & receptive to its' unique stimuli.

And there are always those people who clearly had technical issues when they tried to click the like button for a BOC song and accidentally disliked it.

Good to see a lot of positive reactions. This has always been my favorite BOC song but never heard anyone talk about it.

Growing up,all I ever heard from B.O.C. (on "Classic Rock" radio) was "Don't Fear The Reaper","Godzilla" and "Burnin' For You"...then I got a copy of their "Workshop Of The Telescopes" compilation and ( needless to say) I was blown away by how many other amazing songs that they had besides those 3...and that was just the beginning!

A very cool yet strange and hypnotic song I use to enjoy on vinyl LP way back when. Thanks for posting.

I very much agree. They are SO MUCH more than "Don't Fear the Reaper","Burnin' For You" or "Godzilla"!!! They have DOZENS of killer tracks! They've been done such an injustice over the years by "classic rock" radio! Thanks to them, the average radio listener thinks that the 3 above mentioned songs are all that B.O.C. have to offer. They are sadly mistaken.Seek their albums out and you'll find out what we mean!

I find the Imaginos version (subtitled Blue Oyster Cult) definitive, but all three have their own distinct feel.  The original holds up quite nicely.
