Wow old school tune ... This track was always mixed in with Todd Terry's bango to the bat mobile in the west end bar in Birmingham ... Missing the people
I finally found this track again, and found the name of it after many years. I remember hearing this track on the radio 98.7 Kiss FM. It is my favorite House Music tracks and a classic of the 1980's. Terry todd revolutionized house music with this track, by combing Disco melodies and House beats. He is from New York City, and New York made great contribution, might in reality have invented House Music. The first house track was Planet Rock by Afrika Bambaataa And The Soul Sonic Force. My only question was what inspired him to do this track?
This reminds me of seeing Todd Terry and T La Rock at the Brixton Fridge on 21/04/1989, top mixing from Todd and top rapping from T La Rock and Overlord X... T 'n' Off Y'all !!
I’m on acid in my room wearing a windbreaker that I got from a thrift. I like to imagine I’m in a different era hearing this for the first time. I could see why this sound was so groundbreaking. *im tripping balls
This was THE house tune that got me hooked on House/Acid! In fact, that sound, that synth stab that's sampled from Sequel's "Not Too Late To Dub", is THE sound of Acid House, even more so than the 303!
