Thanks so much :) As a matter of fact, when I was in my teens (1970s) I'd go check the record stores regularly hoping to find "a new Bert Kaempfert release" (LP-) My first interest always was the music but then again ... I didn't mind about the nice women on the covers ;-) Walter
Thanks for posting, my last Kaempthesfert LP" Moon over MIami("75) was the last time that I was able get his recordings on MCA, when he went back to Polygram, he had covers til his death in June 1980, now with CD's and internet music forums it great to hear classics with the Kaempfert especially with Tony Fisher
Beautiful ! Makes me want to smile ! Nice performance by Bert , and great song written by one of the best entertainers ever - Charlie Chaplin !!! Thanks for excellent video !
This is a new one to me. Now I'm going to have to check my album collection to see if I have this one. I know my mind is going away but I do not remember an albym titled Smile. Meanwhile thanks for this gem.
I always hear it only in splendid music. I am looking for You DO Something to me of Bert Kaempfert, but am not found. If there is a person knowing, please tell me.
The first song I ever heard from Bert was" Bye Bye Blues". I was running late for work and was just about to hear Bye Bye on my car radio and was facinated by the beat, and stayed to hear the whole number. I punched in 2 minutes late for work. From then on, an ardent Bert fan. It definetly wasn't a "lost 2 minutes".
