Thanks for the great post, but I believe the title of this tune is "Kater Street Rag, not "Kaster Street Rag". I could be wrong. Anyway, pay close attention to Bennie Moten's piano solo. Bennie Moten was reportedly greatly influenced by James S. Scott (1885-1938) the "classic ragtime" composer who is so well-known today (and who was well-known to the black community in Kansas City at the time). Moten's solo here is supposed to be very much the way James Scott actually played.
