The term Lasya, in the context of Hindu mythology, describes the dance performed by Goddess Parvati as it expresses happiness and is filled with grace and beauty. She is believed to have danced the Lasya in response to the male energy of the cosmic dance of Tandava performed by Lord Shiva. In a literal sense, Lasya means beauty, happiness and grace. Sitar is a really difficult instrument to play and her proficiency in it is awe-inspiring. Not easy being the daughter of a legend and being good enough to be considered his successor.
Massive respect and love from Pakistan to this extraordinarily talented lady
Proud Hindu. Our music is so good. Proud of my culture and history. Just imagine how good musicians in courts of Krishnadevaraya must be. Or in the court of Cholas. ❤️
Holy sheep i came here by accident but now i am absolutely in love her and her music!! Congratulations for keeping Hindu music alive in an era where classical music worldwide is being forgotten. ❤️
My grandmother used to have a sitar and used to create similar music back in my maternal village in india.. It is very soothing. Shame on us grandchildren who didn't follow or learn this real music.
