RIP Ted Neely ! He did a fantastic job as Jesus Christ ! He looks like Jesus I think so! I am a Christian ! Jesus took so much abuse from people that he did not deserve ! He will never misunderstand me or reject me like alot of others do he told me ! He talked to me he really did but am not crazy ! Jesus was talking through a man who never knew me to start with ! Jesus is my friend and I love him ! I have am abused by others !

I loved the movie when it came out. I got the album and I remember listening to it over and over again. Memorized every lyric, every single part of each song. I don’t have the album anymore but have a cd and still listen to it. I loved it then and still love it. This opera rock was written in an era where the youth was reveling against all that was established. Late 60s. The movie was filmed on location by Jerusalem. Even the weather was appropriate when they filmed the crucifixion and the part when Judas hangs himself. This movie had a way to reach the youth in so many ways. I went to watch the movie so many times. I was in high school when the movie came out. I still hum to the tunes, specially when I’m worried about something.

Ted Neely played the part of Jesis Christ the best and hes still doing this in plays and have heard him sing songs from the movie in the plays and preformances !

I was twelve when this movie came out and I remember my Mom taking my brother and I to see it. I used to listen to the album over and over. Such great music.
