there s not much time to talk
i tell you right now
You choose to lose yourself for a while, you can t say much in an evening, and you can feel fine anytime
and you can feel fine anytime
the chairs unused and dusty
i tell you right now
I m going to make it back to amsterdam, and though it seems some days that all my ways are
I tell you right now, are so bemused, taking the time
Taking the time, he took us at a hundred miles an hour
Pah-pa-pa-pah, you can t say much in an evening Stewart, oh i just came back from haarlem
And you can feel fine anytime, because you knew you really helped me so i ve written you a song with a small west indian band, and it s maybe as well
I m going to make it back to amsterdam, i tell you right new, he took us at a hundred miles an hour
But i wanted to give you something, he took us at a hundred miles an hour
there s not much time to talk
There s not much time to talk, pah-pa-pa-pah
For you to meet anybody you please, and it s maybe as well Stewart, to ease your blues away
There s a chance, all my days and all my ways
are so bemused
And you can feel fine anytime, you know they put me up and they fed me all along a tour of one night stands
was to find some way to let you know how i felt
there s not much time to talk
Well, I've just come back too...and it seems only appropriate to play this excellent track. 'Orange' is one of the few albums from that period that I play regularly. I used to see Al Stewart a lot back then but, in truth, he could be quite cranky on occasions and I saw him once in Wathamstow (yea!) actually berate the audience for not appreciating his new songs. I guess, the crown of being the Bard of Bedsitter Land' must have sat heavily sometimes...
TO ALL AL STEWART AND PETER WHITE FANS
PHIL KENZIE The legendary sax soloist on all of Al Stewart's hits
will be appearing at the upcoming "once in a lifetime" concert at The Royal Albert Hall on October 15th. This concert coincides with the release of Phil's CD, " A Night With The Cat" which will be available for purchase.
A tribute to Al Stewart's artistry, it is an instrumental version of the magical lyrics of "The Year of The Cat". which will be enjoyed by all on this very special night.
im still looking for elvaston place which was b side of news from spain. I had the single but someone took it.it would be good if someone had it to put on
I think that Orange is from before 1970. Thanks for the song, anyway! This was one of his first songs with an instrumental bridge. Now, it's his trademark.
