I had the privilege of seeing Abby Lincoln in concert at the Atlanta Jazz Festival back in 1989 (might have been 1990). I got to meet her. Talked with her for about an hour. Such a beautiful, classy, kind and gracious woman. She will always be my favorite jazz singer. A true original.
