It sux that Chi-Pig is addicted to Crack Cocaine and Crystal Meth. We went on a bender for a few days and when he went to score the last of my cash he never came back with the dope, That's when I decided to get clean and get off the dope. I hope he does. The SNFU shows now are most the time pretty bad and a shell of their former selves even though 1 of 5 are left in the band. In their prime they were 1 of the best though.

The lyrics clearly say "And he painted her a picture" ~ then again Henry Rollins era Black Flag is littered with gay references. As an openly gay male, I loved this song because my lesbian art teacher in high school was my rock. She ended up killing herself. If this song is really gay tragedy, it makes me love it even more.

You really can hear a Joy Division inspiration with this track

One of the best, most under-rated songs ever

I saw them play this song in 1996 or 1997 at polish hall in Edmonton. I remember the shivers down my spine when they started playing. I couldn't have asked for a better era to be a teenage punk.

Never paid much attention to SNFU, didn't get all the praising of "how special" the band and Chi Pig was etc. Until I heard this one - great song! Catchy and dark. Now I'm listenting my way all through their discography. That's the way it should be with great music: a big & beautiful emotional surprise & experience. Sometimes a little personal challenge, too.

I saw the band at the 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis. It must have been 85 because we were listening to the album with the Diane Arbus cover in those days.
