If i needed advice i always came to you to discuss, you was feared and respected, if i needed advice i always came to you to discuss
In the neighborhood you had a name, i was mad at god like he murdered you Halo), i m staring at your corpse praying and waiting for you to awaken
All six of your children basically worshipped you, my only regret about not selling out and getting rich
In the neighborhood you had a name, i was a big fat kid overweight
21 gun salute for the hero, i love you daddy
I love you daddy, you always somehow found a way to turn the situation optimistic
the last days of your life as a cancer patient
It was my very first rap tape, i was a big fat kid overweight, disease and sickness
You was feared and respected, my heart feel like it s suffering from strangulation
you was feared and respected
Disease and sickness, you was feared and respected, my only regret about not selling out and getting rich
In the neighborhood you had a name, so to clown me you bought the fat boys Man, is that if i got millions i could ve shared it and spend it with you
I m staring at your corpse praying and waiting for you to awaken, is that if i got millions i could ve shared it and spend it with you, all six of your children basically worshipped you
I love you daddy, my only regret about not selling out and getting rich
Is that if i got millions i could ve shared it and spend it with you, the burial was beautiful, it was my very first rap tape
you was feared and respected
You always somehow found a way to turn the situation optimistic, all the fathers walked out on their kids and left them neglected
As a father you couldn t have done a better job, through poverty
My heart feel like it s suffering from strangulation, you always somehow found a way to turn the situation optimistic
you always somehow found a way to turn the situation optimistic
21 gun salute for the hero, all the fathers walked out on their kids and left them neglected, 21 gun salute for the hero
You was feared and respected, my heart racing and my hands shaking, my heart racing and my hands shaking
My only regret about not selling out and getting rich, if i needed advice i always came to you to discuss Die, you was feared and respected
You know, I do notice that many people ecstatically acclaim or marvel at RA's flow, and I get it, it's dope, but what his rhymes actually CONSIST of is what I most dig about RA. He never rhymes just to sound impressive or only "technically" good, for he brings great subject matter, whether it'd be top-notch braggadocio, wittiness, humor, political talk, grave/seriousness, etc. An excellent MC that covers many areas.
this is so raw and emotional. My dad is also a Nam vet, he's still here but i can never imagine losing him. He's my main inspiration for everything i do. Big props to Rugged Man and R.I.P. Sgt. John A Thorburn
This is real music. It even hit me and I never experienced the death of a loved one. Music, but especially hip hop, is supposed to make you feel certain emotions and make you think. It saddens me when I say I'm a hip hop head and people think I'm talking about that trash rap that's going on nowadays. This is true hip hop. Props to R.A.
this song is making me tear up so bad............. losing a family member that important to you, not a lot can compare to that pain. my grandpa died from cancer and the sadness I felt at his funeral was like no other. real music right here, real emotions, real stories. RIP morfar
Whenever I listen the whole album, this is the only song that I usually skip because it hits too close to home and makes me tear up. Don't want to look like a crying little bitch when I'm walking down the street or sitting in the subway. If you pay attention to RA's voice at the end of the song, you can hear his voice start to crack up from emotions.
