Thanks for the post. I remember my these in my parents house as a toddler. Now that percussion is a bigger aspect of music now, it is interesting to see what he does with it. He was a genius and way ahead of his time. I send these links to musician friends who think I'm nuts but I say listen to drums and rhythms because they are so creative. He must have had an influence of Stan Kenton.

Stan Kenton was very influenced by Machito and other Latin greats, if anything, I think it would of been the other way around....I have little doubt that Martin had worn copies of "Cuban Fire" and probably "City Of Glass" ......
