The summer had inhaled and held its breath too long The winter looked the same, as if it never had gone And through an open window where no curtain hung I saw you I saw you  Comin' back to me One begins to read between the pages of a book The shape of sleepy music, and suddenly you're hooked Through the rain upon the trees, the kisses on the run I saw you  I saw you  Comin' back to me You came to stay and live my way Scatter my love like leaves in the wind You always say you won't go away But I know what it always has been It always has been A transparent dream beneath an occasional sigh Most of the time I just let it go by Now I wish it hadn't begun I saw you, yes, I saw you  Comin' back to me Strolling the hills overlooking the shore I realized I've been there before The shadow in the mist could have been anyone I saw you I saw you  Comin' back to me Small things like reasons are put in a jar Whatever happened to wishes wished upon a star? Was it just something that I made up for fun? I saw you, I saw you comin' back to me

One of the most beautiful songs ever performed by this group. Who hasn't experienced a love lost and pined for another chance with that person, brilliant..

its nice people still recall and listen to this song. I stood at a park in SF in 1974 and Marty Balin stepped up and sang this. Never will forget it.

Listening to this song with the sounds of fire and bombs , with the smell of death and fear gives me the hope of living in peace .. greetings from Syria to everyone .

Took my first LSD hit to this album. Army called the next year 1968. This song brings back memories of a mellow innocent youth. Great album that will stand the test of time.

This was the sound track to my awakening.... that I could move out of my parents' house, leave the Church, protest the war and find a whole new family of love, peace and beauty, 1968 for me........

I love, love, love this song!! I played it over and over on my little mono record player in my room - 1967 - I was 15. Hearing this now brings a flood of lovely memories. I met Jefferson Airplane in Toronto, Aug. 67, in the Royal York Hotel and have a picture of Marty with me and my girlfriend. Grace was beautiful and the Grateful Dead were there too. I will be happy the rest of my life, as long as I have my memories.............thanks for all this groovy music..............xxoo

While White Rabbit and Somebody to Love are the biggest airplane songs it's Today and this song right here that I love the most.

Only the beauty can save the world, this song reminds me that... It gives me a feeling of surrender to the beauty of life, feelings, open my heart to all the human beings, encourage them to stop all the wars in the world, all the hate. If only we were more simple... This song is really one of those eternal reminders of the good and bad things of the past, but also it gives me courage to pursue my dream, search the beauty and the trascendence of humans because today we are not even half-humans... we destroy our specie. I don't want to be afraid ever again. I'm 23 years old boy with chronic depression and this song gonna stay with me forever, it healed me many times.

This song is so unbelievably beautiful. Memories of hazy, magic days of early adolescence. This song is locked in a sacred place in my heart.

She was 14 and I was 17 and I fell in love with her...then I went away. Then for years I looked for her and found her to be married. I went away again, but I felt the guilt of leaving her when I was just a kid. Now...now at 63 I found her at 60 and we fell deeply in love. She sent me a text asking if I could find this song. I wept when I listened to it. Its never to late to fall in love...
