I have been listening to Jean-Luc Ponty since he started playing with Frank Zappa. And he just keeps getting better!~ I saw him okay live twice. Although, I enjoy listening to him the most while making love or relaxing in bed. So soothing and sensual.

I have memories of my dad playing this when I was a kid back in the 90s. It takes me back and to another world.

There was an outdoor glub in Ios island (greece) named "far out" if I remember well (1979-1980) and this song was played every 20 minutes (assume it was DJ's favorite). The song symbolizes the repressed nostalgia that characterizes my generation (60s) which some of us (very few) have managed to elicit every time we hear the intro of this instrumental miracle. It gives peace to my funky soul!

Every Rocker I turned on to JLP, were amazed at his music. Same thing with Stanley Clarke's 1970's music and super groups like RTF.

if I were ever to be picked up by aliens while driving alone on a deserted highway on one stary night, I am sure this is the song that would be playing as they transported me into the mother ship to leave earth for another world. good bye, earth...
