THOSE OF US OLDIES THAT WERE AROUND DURING JACKIE'S TIME DON'T NEED A JACKIE WILSON 101 LECTURE. WE WERE THERE WHEN HE DID IT ALL. PERHAPS YOU SHOULD READ MORE AND TRY NOT TO PROJECT YOUR LIMITED "KNOWLEDGE." JLW FOREVER

As much as i like and admire Patti one of my favorite female vocalist Its kinda hard to believe with all due respect to her that Jackie with his looks and talent would try and rape her when he could get any kind of woman he desired and i mean Fine Women!

He recorded many fine recordings like "Baby Workout Doggin Around etc and his later stuff even after Higher was brilliant like The Sweetest Feeling which was the follow up to Higher and Higher

Agreed. Being a musician in the same situation occaisionally, the reaction is to intrinsically make it your own. Someone hands it to you as this rudimentary pile of calculated garbage, you go over the top technically to make it some how respectible, and then you can't rid yourself of it.

Actually he just "molested" her . That's why she would not participate in a tribute after his death.

The “sweetest girl in town” line is actually from the film name - look at the original Coral 45 - reissues leave out the “from the film” making it look like it part of the song title Now get back to work
