Spector may have overplowed the field but it doesn't touch the George of it...

This was going to become a Beatles song, but, of course, Lennon & McCartney rejected it, leaving room for George to make this a solo song after the Beatles breakup.

this is like a sneak peek of what The Beatles would've sounded like had they stayed together for one more album after 'Abbey Road'. Best song on the album

I will never be able to express how much this song meant to me. So ethereal, it drives me into a strange nostalgic depression. I love this song.

If this album were released today, in 2019, it would be number 1 on the rock chart. It would be Album of the Year on the Grammy awards It is absolutely brilliant. 50 yrs later, it is absolutely freaking brilliant!!

2:39-2:50 makes me cry. His ear for arrangement is impeccable, just as good as lennon and mccartney.

My God, the production on this song is incredible. It's multi-layered, huge-sounding, vaguely experimental and full of layers and small details that require multiply llistens to uncover. Good God, Phil Spector did a great job with producing this song (as well as All Things Must Pass, in general).

Listen to Dhani's cover of this from George Fest. It's such a great tribute to his dad.
