I grew up with celtic music but I always thought my family was Persian do to the fact that that my native language is English but my second language has been farsi since I was a child..... Then mom dropped a bomb shell "you're only half Persian kid. Your other half is Irish. You're yiu are an American, both sides of your family are deeply cultural in every way" now when I hear these songs, I don't just have pieces of childhood flow back into my heart. I also feel connected to mom in ways I never thought I could be, back to her Irish culture and history.

This is an old folk song. Who cares who the hell's version it is !! .. or who wrote the song ! Gaelic Storm does it justice here. I've never heard a band do this so well, and with such passion and with so much beauty.
