I heard this song right after I found out one of my best friends just overdosed and died on opiates. We both got out of rehab 2 weeks ago and this song hits home

This album came out on the day I got clean from dope, had no idea till I got out of detox. This song instantly hit home. To me, my favorite band telling me to never give up hope as I head to sober living after ten years of misery is more then a coincidence. Never give up hope, fight off your demons. Thank you brand new.

I lost my son over 2 years ago. Last year, I was feeling it the hardest. My life had fallen apart, had no one around and was drinking heavily. I thought about ending it all, sure, I'm not going to lie. Hell, if I'm making such a candid public statement right now, might as well be honest, right? I remember sitting in my car, listening to a this album shortly after it came out, and those lyrics hit me so hard, like someone was speaking to me in a way no one could. "I'm hoping that in time you can lay down All this weight you're carrying around But maybe one day You'll find your way To climb on out of your grave With the bits of you you managed to save..." Wow. It was the most perfect moment i could have ever asked for. Then, I hear "... it's gonna feel so good to let it go..." I could still feel the chills when I finally heard someone tell me "It's all going to be okay somehow, some way, even though its not" Thank you Jesse Lacey. You saved me that night.

The bridge is gorgeous. Strongest lyrics of any song on the album, classic Brand New.

This album is a masterpiece and probably their best work.

I can't stop listening to this, and startling people with a loud scream as a byproduct.

Man... after waiting 9 long years for another brand new album. I can say. They fucking executed it so god damn well.

"Im hoping that in time you can lay down all this weight you've been carrying around and maybe one day you'll climb up on out of your grave with bits of you you managed to save; and for the last time, you say goodbye." Oh my god. If that doesn't hit you right in the chest, I got bad news for you.

I remember living in my car in Oregon listening to this album everyday when it came out --- I can picture the hills of the neighborhood with this song on the day I went garage sailing

I'm 29, and recall hearing people talk about Brand New in HS, listening to their record. This band has been strong and unique for a long time, that is really rare in the music industry. Not to mention they saved a lot of at risk kids with their lyrics. Thank you for being real guys
