Watched Assault on Precinct Thirteen (original) this year for the first time, always loved this song because of Xenon 2, but now I have even more respect for John Carpenter.

I played this game so much for so long I ended up being able to complete it in one life... I loved it. "Brraaawowowowwwoww" (want do you want to buy?) Lol 3:05 was always my favourite bit of the track.

Back in the day, this was such a ground breaking tune. Bomb The Bass (Tim Simeone) and S'Express (Mark Moore) were the first major dance artistes of that late 80's era, to 'crossover' into the mainstream. The rest, as they say, is history.

Classic track...Bomb the Bass took sampling to a new level...Pure sampling madness...Today, no lawyer on this planet could clear all samples to get this running

Still have the vinyl. The good old 80ies where one could just put 10+ different samples into a track without getting sued or paying big bucks upfront. Short time of wild west for djs there.

I played Xenon II for months on my Atari 520ST, until I soldered in more memory chips and it became a 1040ST. Still have it - and the game. Still got the black with yellow buttoned joystick with switchable autofire as well. I used to spray Maplin soldering aerosol freezer into it when the chip overheated and stopped firing on turbo mode. There are full runthroughs of Xenon II on here. Another of my favourites was Shadow of The Beast by Psygnosis. Baal was another good one of theirs.
