What a fantastic stoner album this is.. a great successor of Black Sabbath it feels like... oh i need to get so high listening to this .. there is so much potential in this album..
Every doom metal band wants to be Sabbath. Witchcraft is one of a few of them to have a drummer that has the decency to have Bill Ward style fills, and the guitarist doesn't sit on the same riff for 10 minutes. Witchcraft is great
What I absolutely love about this song is that there is no over-the-Top distortion in the guitar tones. Reminds me of what Rush did on their Caress of Steel album.
Hmn... Uncle acid and the deadbeats, Pagan Altar, Kadavar or maybe try listen to Pelican (this is just very good postrock/metal band). And search in Google "similar bands to witchcraft", there's a list on Last.fm.
