This time if you want me to come back, it’s up to you
But remember I won’t allow the things you used to do
You’re gonna have to tow the mark and walk the line
This time will be the last time
This time if I should feel unwanted, I won’t stay
Each tomorrow will depend on the love you give today
It’s all up to you to keep in mind
This time will be the last time
If this time should be anything like the other times
This time will be the last time
If this time should be anything like the other times
This time will be the last time
The music, performance and simple, straightforward nature of everything he performed, set him apart from all of his peers, both past and presentt. This song embodies the pure simple beauty of his songwriting and performances. Never will ANYONE like Waylon Jennings pass this way again.
Waylon Jennings, murders everyone making country today. Waylon's got more talent in his pinky finger than all them clowns combined. What have they done to country music?
I can proudly say I was brought up listening to Waylon (I'm 40). I took my first steps to a Waylon song as his music was always on in our home. My Mum passed away in 2013 & my Dad now has Parkinson's Disease so listening to Waylon relaxes him enough to sing along & also brings back memories of my Mum for us.
Thanks Waylon, we miss you so very much - God Bless xxx
I've commented on another thread, but as a kid I met him through my Dad (he even came to my Grandpa's funeral) and he was one cool guy. He never bragged about his successes, never ducked his failures, but most importantly he never took shit from anyone!
Waylon Jennings he's still better even in his grave Yard than any other now a days.
Country music = Waylon Jennings. ...Just like i use to say.
