My favorite song in the seventh grade in LA. Surf music ruled.

One of my favorite songs. Almost as great as Dick Dale's "Ghostriders In the Sky".

Ron Wilson's tight, crisp, technically mastered drumming is always a treat to listen to.

Why the thumbs down? This has always been my favorite guitar instrumental, better than Wipeout. It has everything, the kick-the-reverb crashing sound, the fancy drumming, two guitar solos, a sax solo, and a pre-psychedelic orgasmic ending. Bob Berryhill is a genius.

This was my favorite instrumental as a kid. It has everything - the sound effects, the funky drum intro, a honkin sax solo, a second guitar solo with muted strings, and a big climax ending. What more could you pack into one little instrumental? But I guess Pipeline has the best melody and atmosphere.

They don't make great records like this anymore. You can keep Eric Clapton and all the rest. This is for me.
