Not quite John Fogerty on "Travelin' Band", but pretty dad-gum good. Closer to Little Richard. Good song.

You shoulda heard 'em live. These guys used to played at my high school in 65 or 66 and they sounded just like you hear here. They were a "local" band then. The drummer was called "Boom Boom Bennett". The drums were relentless. In addition to the amps and Hammond organ, they had two monstrous Klipsch PA horns that just distorted everything, including the singer. Just raw as hell. About 10 years ago I played an MP3 I cut off vinyl of Psycho for my next door neighbor's 14 year old girl. She thought it was the best thing she'd ever heard. Told all her friends. Garage Punk across the ages . . .
