This will always be my favorite song. The first time I saw them live, I gave them a shot. I knew of them since 08 Cos I lived in SoCal. But, always thought they were pretentious lol I saw them at a festival in San Bernardino... This song was played and I appreciated the lyrics and sound so much. I listen to this almost every time I feel low or depressed. Not to mention I’m obsessed with Brooks wife and kids. They are such a beautiful family ❤️

I had this song on the playlist I listened to during the woolsey fire in California almost a year ago. I have 3 memories of that 24+ hour experience, the first one is packing all the important things, and then getting to the things I’ve had my entire life and just sitting there for a minute not knowing what to bring. The second one is at around 4 am my family was asleep in the living room and I was forcing myself to be awake to listen to the radio and news waiting for the fire to jump the freeway, a lot of the people I knew were all checking in on each other making sure everyone was gonna be ok and reassuring that we will make it through the fire. And the final memory was driving along the coastline with the horse trailer and the horses being pulled behind us with a massive plume I’d smoke covering the son and making a redish light, the ocean was so clean is the weird thing.
