I think they just grew.. the boomers grew from 60s sounding stuff like Agitation Free into relaxing stuff you could listen to at the office.. like hyperborea.

oooh I heard this when I was 12 ^_^ and was so difficult to hear music of this one in those times!! great album indeed mm those electronic beginnings, had much quality and harmonies much more than this days o.O

I purchased this song (Several of Tangerine Dreams' actually) from Amazon a few months ago... & something..sounded...wrong.. The ones being sold on Amazon through their digital services SAY they are the album cuts; but they are all REMASTERED with synthe & other input to "smooth out" the chords. GONE are the cymbals & other bells that indicate demarcations of tempo It sounds like Tangerine Dream was shoved through an "auto-tune" for "relevant music" to try to modernize their songs in some way... Absolutely atrocious. Thank goodness I can still find the original album releases on the internet.

Tangerine Dream was such an excellent group when only Froese, Haslinger & Franke were members. Optical Race was probably their last great album. Their tonal quality and orchestration were and are beyond compare. Their music always told a great musical story. We saw Tangerine Dream many, many times in concert in the 70's, 80's and early 90's and were always happy to see and hear them. The multitude of other members added later diluted the musical quality and persona of TD. God bless Edgar Froese.
