She reminds me of Amelie, if she were a real person and a singer. I love the very slight "Now now I know what you did" look at the kid when she's reading the story and says "awful mess we've made".

this girl's got an amazing voice, bad ass guitar skills and some soul-piercing eyes...beautiful indeed.

Great video and great song! I prefer her first two albums because of the "fairy tale" vibe and scary riffs but anything she does is great of course.

The boy whose hair Annie is playing with is her brother. True fact.

^This is what I'm thinking. I find it kind of...well, dense that some people assume she's promoting religion just because she mentions it. Perhaps it's just me, but the religious references seem quite obviously tongue-in-cheek/cynical. It seems like the song's a commentary on the commercialism of religion and religious festivities, and the sense of fulfillment and delight she finds in the humble, every day and, yes, *earthly* things - falling in love/nurturing a budding romance, in particular.

The Sufjan influence is so apparent in this song and video I love it.
