It's unfortunate and a sad reflection on music.Squeeze were and incredible band great music interesting use of different instruments superb vocals and fantastic lyrics.When I think of the other bands that made it big in America it just ticks me off how so such talent could be ingnored.

I went to a party about 15 years ago.. some ad agency.. in the Kensington roof gardens. Squeeze were the cabaret. they were fantastic.. such great professional performers. I love this band..

It doesn't matter how low on the charts this landed, this is a fantastic song. My dad popped Cool for Cats on in the car the day I was driving him in for back surgery. He's listened to this album all my life, but for whatever reason it was that day that this song stuck out to me. I love the lyrics, and how the flow of the melody pushes their meaning.

I guess I got the EP that had this on it but it was a live version....It had a bit more life and kick to it. Then could never listen to this because the live version just kind of put it to shame.... Still great tune though!

This song goes out to my sister-in-law Dina. She passed away at 57. She turned me on to squeeze in the mid to late 80s, and used to love singing all their clever lyrics. Seems they were more underground then (well with no internet). Music can be such a powerful time-capsule... soo many great memories! God bless you Dina and a thank you to squeeze for bei g one of her favorite bands (and mine!)
