I come here and listen and come back over and over. Reckon I'll stop when I'm dead.

I love this. First Son House I ever heard was Grinnin In Your Face and I was hooked.

This stuff is straight outta the Mississippi cotton field and as raw and primal as it gets. Absolutely magnificent!

He is the father of Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters... so He is the grandfather of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richard ... A very honest man , never got rich from his music, he was a saint of the blues .

First time I heard this ("The Slide Guitar: Bottles, Knives and Steel") my jaw hit the floor, what raw energy, no production BS, no electronic effects, no stunning studio overdubs...just a man and his guitar, with a slide! Rest of the songs are great too (Leadbelly, Blind Willie Johnson, Bukka White, etc.) Bought it after becoming obsessed with the Allman Brothers Band!
