No, he isn't saying "shouted". It is "shout it." Those old wax and vinyls grooves get worn. There was a later release with full orchestra behind Slim, and even though the sound is better, it's somehow just not as good. Nothin like those hillbilly recordings for authenticity. (Yeah, from where and when I come we called them "hillbilly" not country-western singers and songs.

There is a later version (1960s?) which pays better attention to the correct version of the Bridge. This is just not quite right. "Now I shouted etc....."
