I do not think people will remember with such fondness, the so called music of today in the same way in which we remember the wonderful music and songs of the 1950s and 1960s. The vast majority of modern music is more or less instantly forgettable and in the future probably will not be remembered at all. I remember buying this 78 rpm record for 10p back in 73 from a junk shop and saw Ruby perform live in the mid 1980s als.

hi im 62 but i remember this song from my mid 20s when my dad god rest his soul sang it to my mum god rest her soul at new years / holgmany house parties and it was just so captvating i just wish i could do it like he used to on karaoke
My mother, an incurable romantic from Belfast, used to sing this when I was a child in Belfast.. She died around the same time as Ruby Murray, Sydney, Australia, in 1997, aged just 59. A victim of smoking, as Ruby was of drinking. Both left this world too soon, and both sadly missed .
