Ray Barretto - Acid free for downloading

I love all instruments, but once you hear the Congas or Bongos, it does something to you spirit and Soul, Me being a Bongo player I love it!! Old Salsa it the Greatest!!!!

I imagine myself in 70's new york passing by an alley and to my right there's a bar with a pink neon sign and this music bursting out through the doors ;)

I was introduced to Barreto and his music through my dad. One day we both were taking our guitar lessons one Saturday when suddenly as i was waiting for dad to finish with his lessons, i had noticed the line of about 8 or 9 congas that were on display in the music store. I walked over to them and began to randomly tap each one. I knew what they were because some of the album covers my dad had featured Barreto and his drums. It was at that moment i knew i no longer wanted to take guitar lessons and wanted conga drums instead. My dad bought me a conga for my 15th birthday. I came back from school to find it and a card in the living room. I still own it. I wish my dad had taken better care of the Barreto albums he had. Love you Dad.
