Merle has close to the same quality of voice that Marty Robbins has. The two of them are just wonderful. I wish they could have recorded many songs together. Sure do miss the good music like they made, but I'm afraid we'll never see this quality again. There is no sign of anything resembling it anywhere in today's music world. Very sad. I don't know which loss was the greater Merle Haggard or George Jones. Both will be gratefully missed. May you both rest in peace. I know that the Lord is being entertained by two of the best.
