This is 7 24 15  and I still listen to this song.     I heard it many, many years ago. Still one of my favorites.

This song made me feel sad when I was only about 10 in the mid 60s

I heard this song maybe 50 yrs ago. Although I have never gone through that pain, in my heart I can feel that pain.

You definitely got a bargain, and I am sure you enjoy the song as much as I do.

My dad, Richard Kirk, wrote this song...the "B" side to the hit single "Just Walk On By"...

This is one of the all time great unknown classic country. I have the original 45 with Walk on By on the A side.

My father wrote this song. It was the A side. Walk on By, was the B side. Dad got twice as much for the sale of the record as the writer of Walk on By did - supposedly. However, performances or plays is what provided the big money and, of course, Walk on By, got much more of that.
