I use to listen to Lazy Lester when I was a child on the John R show out of Gallatin Tennessee. I could only pick up the station late at night because I grew up in Beaumont Texas. I would put my little transistor radio under my pillow late at night and listen to this music that was not played on the radio in Beaumont. This was before FM radio so the signal faded back and forth.
lester is the real thing. i can remember watching his foot board with the perfect touch. an amazing thing happen when he starts to play. his guitar work is infectuous as is his harmonica. one of the few things i miss about detroit. rock on les
