Jimmy Holiday used to come over to my parents' house in Los Angeles when I was 3 and 4 years old, this was 1962-1963. My dad and mom and Jimmy were good friends. I remember Jimmy tossing me up to the ceiling. Both of my parents went out to dinner one night in Hollywood with Jimmy, Holiday, Sam Cooke, and Sam's young protegee Lou Rawls. This was about a month before Sam Cooke was killed.
