If I'm not mistaken, the only thing you're hearing here that Jack Bruce is not performing, the ONLY thing, is Jon Hiseman's drum part. Bruce is singing, and playing acoustic guitar, cellos, piano, and, of course, virtuosic bass. Jack Bruce, the Soul of Cream.

I bought this album and loved every track on it, left it in the back of the car and the sun melted it rendering it unplayable. What a great album, loved it and still do , R.I.P Jack, and thanks.

This is one of my favourite songs of all time, and certainly my fave J B track - from his fantastic SONGS FOR A TAILOR first solo album from 1969.........I just love the bass lines in this !

Love love love solo Jack Bruce music. Maybe what Cream would have sounded like if they had continued. Jack was the man. RIP.

The more I listen to Jack Bruce's songs and bass playing, the more amazed I am at how terrific a musician he was. Still affects me that he has passed. Like losing a family member. Rest in Peace Mr. Jack.

Brilliant composition (music & lyrics)...fairly deep, dark & mysterious, yet somewhat humorous (to me, at least) at the same time

at 1:34 the singing really embodies the lyrics when he bleats "me" like a lamb to slaughter. genius.
