How can you go to sleep without taking your "Teddy Bear" with you! Teddy Pendergrass is one of the greatest singers of all time and is still sorely missed!

I never got a chance to see this on TV and I am thankful to Venus Clare for posting it. We had slept in a limo from New York for this show after being up all night at the Apollo. My first TV show and now the only surviving member from this show. I am thankful I remained here to see it. Marlow Thomas and Joan Rivers also appeared in this show.

I wonder if Harold Melvin was deliberately sabotaging this performance. He must have known that his voice was sounding horrible. He was hoarse, he should have mouthed the words or sang in a very low volume. Instead, Harold Melvin was singing directly into the microphone louder than any of group. Harold Melvin sounded horrible. But Teddy sang his ... off in spite of it.
