Imagine a little girl who experienced a shooting at a concert right after the performer asked her to sing on stage. Years later she has the opportunity to sing onstage again, but she's terrified. When she gets on the stage she has flashbacks to when her younger self was reaching for the mic 1:01
1:16 She races to save her younger self from taking a bullet, but is instead struck with the sound of her younger self singing as it should have been that night, as if the incident never happened.
2:20 Both versions of the girl sing in unison, pushing past their trauma and finally living out their dream.
2:46 The girl holds her younger self and they both twirl together until the last line, when she places her down and her younger self vanishes into a series of gold flakes which she throws out to the crowd like confetti symbolizing her letting go of all which held her back.

So I was watching a Halestorm interview and Lzzy said that the reason she wrote this song was because a young girl wrote her a letter saying how much she was inspired by Lzzy to make her own band, just like how their song "Daughters of Darkness" is about girls going to concerts and becoming rock stars. :)

This was absolutely me when I first saw them live at Summerfest in July. When she says "And here it comes, the moment when, you know you'll never be the same again" was me that entire day; I could feel myself changing when I was watching both my friend's band and Halestorm later in the day. I couldn't be more grateful to Lzzy for helping me be more confident and just not giving a fuck. ALL HAIL HALESTORM!
