MAN! What a blast, what a voice - she's in total command of this. Seems like there was nothing she couldn't do. Listening to Eva Cassidy is so uplifting and so tragic at the same time, it's almost disorienting. But we are so lucky to have these recordings.

Eva was one of those rare "once every generation" singers.  What is so impressive about her is that she could cover every genre of music with equally stupendous results.  Almost every cover she did was better than the original.

I saw her do this song at the Jewish Mother in Virginia Beach. I didn't know at the time, about this little blonde girl with the Big Voice! She's sing in the Heavenly Choir now! She Blessed us then left!

What a great singer, what a great performance, she was SO talented, who knows how far she would have gone.  What a tragedy that she had to die so young at 33, of the very deadly melanoma. A tragic loss but I'm so glad for what she did leave behind for us to enjoy, just wish there were a lot more.
