It looks to me like this was recorded live, but the sound is out of synch with the picture. Duke's hands match perfectly what you are hearing.

I think I can speak for my ancestors when I say: It's alright, dude...slavery's over. All is forgiven. Seriously.

I listen lots of times this excellent video. According with my ears they play 4 great immortal songs composed by Duke Ellington: 1st- "Mood Indigo", 2nd- "Sophisticated Lady", 3rd- "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)", 4th- "Don't Get Around Much Anymore". Simply Fabulous!

You can't compete with Duke Ellington. He is, was, and always will be the greatest (and, he's a DC native :-D)

Corrie 121. Saw Duke Ellington on his final visit to Glasgow. He was in advanced years then, but his music was just superb. He was magnificent - as were all his orchestra members.

Joe Nanton. Right, and thanks for that. He could practically have a conversation with that horn! His are some of the greatest trombone solos I've ever heard.

Ok, I searched in the Net and I finally found the name of the first music. In this Clip there are 3 diferent musics: 1- 'Mood Indigo'; 2- 'I Don't mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing'; 3- 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore'. Great Songs!

And when they ask 'who was the greatest composer of the twentieth century?' you may reply, 'Edward Kennedy Ellington.'
