City Boy - Sunset Boulevard free for downloading

The older I get, the more I sympathize with Norma Desmond.

Many great evenings with this album...and organic substances.

Saw the boys live a few times back in Brum in the 80s, and shared a couple of drinks with the guitarist Mike Slamer in the local pub. Now just back from my own trip to Sunset Boulevard LA reminds me of some great songs from a very, very fine band indeed.

Can anybody hear something of Hotel California here?

CITY BOY IS WORTH MUCH MORE LISTNERS, MY FAVORIT BAND -76,-77

.....well of course it was the 1970s not the 80s, but I do well remember one famous gig at Birmingham Odeon when they were support for Sutherland Brothers & Quiver, who had just got to No.1 with "In The Arms of Mary." It was like playing a Cup Final on your home ground for City Boy, and when the headliners eventually hit the stage half the audience had already seen what they came for and drifted off to the bar! Had to feel sorry for SBQ really :-D

Remeber ozzy Osborne wrote an article in the brum evening mail to see these guys at barbarellas what a gig, bought all the LPswent to bingly hall new rep to there gigs

Sunset Blvd by City Boy was one of the tracks I was required to play by my "PD" (local radio supervisor) during my job  as overnight FM DeeJay  in late 1976.Cheesy job, to be sure! (Overnight F-ing DeeJay) Goddamit!!!NOT a bad song! It got REALLY inferior publicity in the MID 70s!
