For all his complexities as a human being, Charles Mingus could certainly craft compositions that lifted and energised the human soul in the most dynamic style!

I can sense the influence this had on 21st Century Schizoid Man, especially in the frenetic 3/4 waltz tempo.

This is probably my favourite Mingus piece. 

Isn't this track wonderful,simply real music !! People who don't like Jazz will never know what they have missed.

Duke Ellington called Mingus the King of the two beat waltz. My question is, who is the amazing sax soloist?
