It was the 1960s, in Guildford, Surrey, UK and every weekend was a party; invariably at one of our school friends' houses. More often than not, it was just one who was singled out, as his house was a perfect party house. During the course of these evenings, we would always play Angie and Courting Song by Bert Jansch. Before leaving, in the early hours, we would play Going Home by the Rolling Stones; I seem to remember it lasted nearly 12 minutes. We were at school with John Renbourn, who was much admired and, sadly no longer with us.

his work with Pentangle is barely known. An exceptional artist. Together with Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention, folk rock was born.

The song should at least have three million views and listens.

My brother (older) had these LP's I must have been about eleven and fell in love with it and other like it. Simple but eloquent. I didn't totally understand it at that age but like 'A Woman Like You' I got an idea then it was a song about very deep love and passion.
