Odd that every version of the lyrics online starts with “Go and look for the dejected...” but that doesn’t seem to be at all what’s actually being sung. I believe it should be “Charon looked for the dejected...” which makes far more sense considering the subsequent line “Then on coins his face was mirrored” given that in ancient mythology (something Bauhaus references quite often), Charon was the ferryman across the River Styx into Hades and coins placed on the eyes of the recently deceased were intended to pay his toll – hence his face being “mirrored” as he looked upon the dead.

This one is Bowie fronting The Velvet Underground. Amazing. It would seem that Joy Division Nico Velvet Underground Lou Reed and John Cale and Bowie completely inform this band. The stuff grows on me time goes by. I'm supposing dub reggae as well. Interesting mix of art world infusing the world of music. As seemingly pretentious as this music is has no pretense or artifice. They lived this life and were true as possible.
