Grew up on the coast of Gaspé in the 70’s didn’t speak a word of english then but i use to sing, for myself of course, and translate with a dictionnary all of the lyrics to really appreciate the spirit of the album and after at Rimouski i saw them that was my favourite group with Gran Funk,Genesis,Gentle Giant,Zappa,Hendrix wow what a line up,there is nothing even close of those bands keep your stupid rap and others.

I agree!! This was their masterpiece, as in complete recording. This record hit our house when I was ten and I waited patiently for many years for that second sign of brilliance which ended up just been power cords and only a few good songs. R.I.P. Jim Clech.

A lot of old comments here.... my 2 cents; April Wine should have been a much bigger hit then they became. Saw them here in Montreal twice, once at Angrignon Park early “70’s and at H.S.B High School in Chateauguay soon after that. It seems a shame they tried so hard to break the border line and never really succeeded, but they still are a Canadian icon band, along with The Guess Who, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Rush, B.T.O. ,Chiliwack, and countless other “invisible” groups that built the Canadian Rock&Roll heritage.

Absolute best in class at the time. The entire album is timeless. Lots of great memories.

This band, original, is from where I grew up. Bedford/Waverly NS. I was also close to their age, they still lived in the area . Saw them before they changed their name to "April Wine" excellent group. Saw them many times after that. This song, imo, their best....

Always a hit when they came back home to NS. Every summer you could count on them playing a show or 2 at the old Halifax Forum or the Bridgewater Ex. First concert I ever saw when I was 12. Growing up just outside of Halifax, NS we had all their albums and were so proud of the connection to Waverley, NS. Never forgot their roots when they moved to Montreal.
