My favorite use of the Amen break until Straight Outta Compton took it to the next level. This is a MONSTER track.

this is easily one of the greatest hip hop tracks ever made, by one of the best and ground-breaking producers ever. Mantronix is still the future....

Ice T sampled the first siren on his jam "The Hunted Child" off of his 1989 album "The Iceburg/Freedom of Speech...Just Watch What You Say".

The Amen break wasn't hard to get. Everyone was sampling from the Ultimate Breaks and Beats series and it was on one of the first volumes out in 1986. King of The Beats was also the source of The Power drum sample, Snap and Chill Rob G, and various other dance music artists that have sampled it. Chopped up Mardi Gras coupled with The Meters' Look Ka Py Py drums.

I was born at the right time for my 80s teenage obsession, Oh, once upon a time I had the vinyl as part of my collection, Although it's all in my memory past cells now, Never will I forget that def Mantronix sound, I remember getting so hyped by it that you can't stand still, There's nothing quite like it, And I know it's still a thrill,
