This is one of my favorite songs from the John Coltrane Quintet. RIP Mccoy Tyner.

Played this for my daughter when she was born... then named her Naima... couldn't name her soul eyes.

RIP Maestro Tyner. By now you're jamming with John again in Heaven...

I will tell you what. Coltrane's ending brings tears to my eyes. He just pulls the emotion out of it! you can FEEL IT!!!!! I feel sorry for today's kids...Nothing like this will ever happen again! Three Innovators in one band, John Coltrane: Sheets of Sound. McCoy Tyner: Quartal Harmony and Elvin Jones: Polyrhythms...never again! Once in a Lifetime. and I am grateful to have been a part of that generation!!!!!!!!!!!!!
