I found Jim when i was homeless living on the streets between Sepulveda and Reseda. I was on my hustle when i first heard this song coming from a little bar called the Tenderglow right around San fernando mission and Balboa. I had to know who was singing about me so despite my underage status i went inside the bar and asked a patron she was kind enough to many other songs i might find relatable and bought me a turkey sandwich. I've been a devote fan ever since. I knew something was wrong in my life but could never pinpoint what the cause was. Thanks again Jim these words helped me accept that doing things your way doesnt come without shortcomings and strife. I started looking for support instead of my next score. Not much better off these days but I'm moving with purpose and a steady goal in mind. Support is like gassing up a car on E. Without it you will run out of fuel. But getting stranded is part of the growth process. What a wonderful human he was and i hope one day the music i make touches someone the way this beautiful song did me. R.I.P. friend i know so well yet never met.
