The intro, before the groove kicks in, is transcendent. Another great archival masterpiece from Monsieur Ponty.

I was 20 years old when this was out and of course most kids  at my age just weren't  listening to this kind of music, I always told them, you really have no idea what your missing..

Some of you may have missed JLP's point: this music is timeless. When it plays, time ceases to exist, and the universe opens its secrets, and its heart of ecstasy to you. All you have to do is listen. I'm 53 and have kids from 11 to 21 years old, and they all groove on JLP's music.And oh my god, Ralph's foghorn bass echoing under the Golden Gate of the soul! Arturo, I'm sorry that your brother died. But you're still alive, and getting older. You can make that into a GOOD thing. I plan to keep on getting older for as long as possible, and keep listening to JLP until I pass over to whatever's next. With Warm Aloha, Susanne..........
