The Golden Gate Quartet was the first gospel quartet to sing in Nightclubs. It was big news when they first did so (I believe in 1944-45 or 46) at the Café Zanzibar in New York City.

I knew my uncle singed back in the day nut never appreciated it much. I loved the few stories he told me and I wished I would have spent more time with him. I know him as Uncle Bradley but to see in this format is amazing. I heard his voice once in church where he was a deacon and I thought he sounded good then.  And when he would sing at Aunt Gerrie's.  Miss you, Uncle.
